Abstract:<p>The planetary boundary layer (PBL) is the lowest part of the atmosphere and it is directly influenced by its contact with a planetary surface and the PBL height (PBLH) varies with time, season and topography. In this study, PBLH is estimated from atmospheric profiles utilizing the parcel method, the bulk Richardson method and the temperature inversion method using the potential temperature, turbulence and temperature gradients, respectively. Additionally, the theta gradient profile and the mix… Show more
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
