Abstract:Magnetic fly ash is a potential alternative responsive additive to achieve magneto-rheology control of cementitious materials; it reduces the cost of magnetic particles and also is beneficial to preparing sustainable binder materials. This paper estimates the magnetic force between micrometer-sized fly-ash particles in cementitious suspensions. Four cases, regarding different selections of particle distance and different characterizations of magnetic properties of fly ash, are considered. The correlations betw… Show more
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
