Abstract: This paper presented a novel numerical method for estimating the gas diffusion coefficient based on the early-time pressure-decay data. Experimentally, “flooding–soaking” procedures were developed to perform the gas diffusion in an oil-saturated tight core under different gas phase volume conditions.
