Aesthetics is of paramount importance for the modern dental medicine. Today not only the white but also the pink aesthetic is a desirable outcome of the dental treatment, so the it is more appropriate to perceive teeth and gingival tissues as two parts of one and the same aesthetic complex. Therefore, this article describes a multidisciplinary management of patient with short clinical crowns and "gummy" smile. Due to altered passive eruption crown lengthening procedure with soft and hard tissue removal is performed with Er:YAG laser (2,940 nm) with the following settings: gingivectomy in soft tissue mode with tip 0.6 mm and energy settings-150 mJ/15 Hz; bone removal in hard tissue mode with tip 1.3 mm and energy settings-150 mJ/20 Hz . Following 1 month for healing period CAD/CAM veneers made from ultra-translucent multilayered zirconium veneers are placed to the patient. The case is followed-up for 1 year. The combination of aesthetic plastic periodontology, performed with laser, and use of CAD/CAM technology is efficient, predictable and highly precise multidisciplinary approach towards disharmonious smile. The combination of aesthetic laser-supported plastic periodontology and use of CAD/CAM technology is contemporary, efficient, predictable and highly precise multidisciplinary approach in retrieve for aesthetics.

The demand for cosmetic treatments has increased considerably in dental offices.Current laboratory techniques associated with a strict clinical protocol satisfy patients restorative and esthetic needs.Thin ceramic laminates are a suitable option to correct shape, symmetry, contour, and size of anterior teeth. Lithium disilicate (LD) ceramic laminates are excellent treatment options for performing aesthetic rehabilitation due to the material's strength and tensile properties. In this case report, ceramic laminates were fabricated using an all-digital workflow. The case describes the steps involved in the clinical protocol to perform a high-performance treatment with the CEREC © CAD /CAM system computeraided design and computer-aided manufacturing, with ceramic laminates.

Aim: The present study was performed to evaluate the longevity and efficacy of the lip repositioning surgery by assessment of the gingival display changes that occur after the surgery through clinical & digital methods.Methods: This prospective study included ten female patients who suffered from excessive gingival display due to upper lip hypermobility or short upper lip. Pre-operative measurement of the amount of gingival display were recorded both clinically using an endodontic ruler & digitally using Adobe Photoshop cs6 through a well standardized photographs. The surgery was performed under local anesthesia for all patients by removing part of the labial mucosa (labial vestibule) followed by suturing of the wound by interrupted 0-5 resorbable suture. All patients were followed up at 14 days, 4 months, 8 months and 12 months, postoperative assessment was done by measuring the changes in the gingival display using the same clinical & digital techniques.Results: Post-operative measurements at 14 days follow up, showed obvious reduction in the amount of gum exposure. However complete relapse was observed at 4 months. Conclusion:The longevity of the procedure is questionable with almost complete relapse.
