“…All eight indices investigated in the present study demonstrated poor correlations to subjective patient satisfaction, the most representative indices being PES, PES/WES, CEI, and IAS ( r s > 0.2). These findings compare well to results from literature reporting a low correlation ( r s = 0.3) between PES and patient VAS ratings (Patil, Gresnigt, Mahesh, Dilbaghi, & Cune, ). Despite the fact that in the linear model of patient satisfaction, several scores showed estimated coefficients significantly different from zero, the linear relationship of VAS and scores was weak indicated by a small R 2 .…”

“…The common general finding regarding both groups was that all biological and esthetic outcomes were within the normal health limits, remained relatively stable. This could be related to the atraumatic conservative surgical approach a conclusion which agrees with Patil et al [28] who followed the same conservative surgical and meticulous prosthetic procedures that may preserve the soft and hard tissues from damage.…”

“… In the majority of the studies evaluations were usually made by the researchers in a nonstandardized way (). Moreover, patient's opinions were scored using different methods, including visual analog scales, Likert scales, dichotomous or multiple choice answers and other scales.…”
