Esterase D Polymorphism in Galicia (North-West of Spain)

Abstract: Esterase D polymorphism has been studied by means of starch gel electro-phoresis in 543 unrelated subjects from the population of the North-West of Spain. The gene frequencies found were, EsD1 = 0.8913, EsD2 = 0.1087. The phenotype distribution was in good agreement with the Hardy-Weinberg equilibrium.
