Estabilidade do modelo animal de lesão pulmonar aguda induzida por ácido oleico

Abstract: Objective: To evaluate the stability of hemodynamic, respiratory and gas exchange variables in an animal model of oleic acid-induced acute lung injury. Methods: This was an experimental study involving 10 mongrel dogs. The variables were measured at baseline, as well as at 30, 60, 90 and 120 min after the administration of oleic acid. In order to analyze repeated measurements, linear and quadratic effects were tested. Mixed linear models with diversified variance and covariance structures were used, depending … Show more

“…There are many studies where OA is used to form ALI in many species such as rat [25] , mouse [17] , dog [26] and rabbit [27] . Nonenzymatic lipid peroxidation is an important point in the oxidative stress related cellular damage caused by free radicals.…”

“…In addition, we compared the severity of the CSE-induced responses with those of a well-established model of ALI, i.e., systemic injection of oleic acid (OA). ( 12 ) Finally, we also investigated whether previous administration of CSE has any potentiating effects on the model of OA-induced ALI.…”
