Essential Oil From Aerial Parts of Rhetinolepis Lonadioides (Coss.): Extraction, Chemical Composition and Antimicrobial Activity

Abstract: In this study, the chemical composition and antimicrobial activity of the essential oil (EO) from aerial parts of Rhetinolepis lonadioides collected from southwestern Algeria were assessed. The EO was obtained by hydrodistillation and analyzed by GC/MS. In total, thirty-two compounds were identified representing 80.00% of the total of the EO, withβ-Pinene (41.85%) being the major monoterpenes.
