“…The origin of the canting in this magnetic phase was attributed to the existence of two nonequivalent Cu sites. With other metal ions such as Li + or Ag + , narrow EPR lines easily detectable even with the pulse technique have been obtained coming from DCNQI radicals. , (DMe-DCNQI) 2 Li and (DMe-DCNQI) 2 Ag present a Spin-Peierls phase transition. Figure gives the magnetic susceptibility of the Li salt.

“…And we discussed the magnetic low dimensionality of (DMe-DCNQI) 2 Li which is expected to have one dimensional quarter-filled π band along the direction of DCNQI colomuns and shows 2k F transition at around 70 K. 24) We showed that the magnetic susceptibility of (DMe-DCNQI) 2 Li can be fitted very well around its broad maximum by the Bonner-Fisher curve and the value of J is obtained to be 205 K. 24) The magnetic susceptibility of (DMe-DCNQI) 2 Ag shows similar behavior with Li salt. We can also fit the susceptibility by the Bonner-Fisher curve and the value of J is obtained to be 245 K. Obtained J of (DI-DCNQI) 2 Ag turned out to be smaller than those of these DMe-DCNQI salts.…”
