Escitalopram Regulates Expression of TRH and TRH-Like Peptides in Rat Brain and Peripheral Tissues

Abstract: Background: Escitalopram (eCIT) is a highly selective serotonin reuptake inhibitor (SSRI) that can be an effective treatment for a number of neuropsychiatric disorders including major depression.
