Erythropoietin protects against doxorubicin-induced heart failure

Abstract: The hormone erythropoietin (EPO) has been demonstrated to have cardioprotective properties. The present study investigates the role of EPO to prevent heart failure following cancer treatment with doxorubicin [adriamycin (AD)].
