“…An association between anemia and renal failure has been recognized since the original observation of Bright [12], In a few of the early works reporting improvement of anemia during androgen treatment, the drug administered was intramuscular testosterone [13,14], Oral oxymetholone and other Cl 7-alkylated testosterones were selected by other workers, since these drugs have been used with out standing success in hypoplastic anemia, with comparatively between HCC and treatment with oxymethoione and other C17-alky!ated testosterones [2][3][4][5][6][7][8][9][10][11]. The majority of these described patients have had aplastic anemia as the under lying disease [7], others were treated for impotence [6,8], cryptorchidism, hypopituitarism, and paroxysmal noctur nal hemoglobinuria [2], It is important to note that neither our reported case, nor all the other cases have had cirrhosis of liver or hemo chromatosis.…”
