“…It was observed that more repetitions were beneficial for participants with cognitive impairment, especially at the early stage; for example, the first week was intensive (4 sessions) and the strategies were applied by participants without the use of cues (eg, take steady steps) at the end of the week; however, after the weekend and the frequency dropped to 2 sessions in week 2, verbal cues had to be provided to some participants. To consolidate the safe transfer and mobility strategies into procedural memory, 23 it might be helpful to change the intervention to 4 weeks, with the first 2 weeks including more frequent sessions, for example 4, 4, 2, 1 or 5, 3, 2, 1 in each week. One participant (Participant 4) suggested that intervention sessions be shorter but more frequent initially, and the frequency to be decreased and duration of each session increased when participants' confidence and endurance improve.…”
