Abstract: Objectives: Haemophilus parasuis is a commensal organism of the upper respiratory tract of conventional pigs that, under appropriate conditions, can cause the Glasser disease, characterized by severe systemic infection, fibrinous polyserositis, arthritis and meningitis.
