Erosive candidiasis of the scalp, followed by the reappearance of black hair after 40 years

Abstract: SUMMARY A female aged 72 years developed an erosive pustular dermatosis of the anterior scalp from which Candida albicans was repeatedly cultured. The infected area was bald, but on recovery hair regrew and much of this was black although it had been white for the previous 40 years.
