Abstract

Erosion corrosion on pump parts in particle containing liquidsThe knowledge of the erosion corrosion behaviour of materials is important for the layout and guarantee values of hydraulic systems and machines. On a centrifugal pump for particle containing liquids systematical mass loss investigations were made at the inlet sealing gap and the outlet edge of the pump blade on original pump parts.The behaviour of materials under sealing gap conditions was further explored in a specially designed testing device.
