Ergonomic and Workflow Study of Sausage Production Process in the Context of Manual Transport Tasks

Abstract: The aim of the article is to analyze the activities performed manually in a meat processing enterprise in the context of shaping ergonomic working conditions. Based on observational methods, including metric measurements of workstations and an in-depth interview with employees of the enterprise, the activities realized in the production process of the selected sausage product were recognized, with particular emphasis on manual work. On the basis of ergonomic analyzes carried out with the use of 3D SSPP softwar… Show more

“…The model is used to forecast effects and shapes directions of development opportunities for the enterprise, as it may turn out that the implementation of certain projects is unprofitable due to the final effect. Modeling of work processes supported by computer techniques is widely used in design (Mleczko, 2019;Kuboszek, 2019), and also allows you to optimize design solutions before starting implementation of work (Kabiesz and Bartnicka, 2018;Górska, 2011). There are several model classifications.…”

“…The problem of ergonomics of manual work positions, characterized by high loads on the human body, is relatively often raised and the actions of employers in this matter are sometimes visible. Unfortunately, these activities, as well as the activities of scientific communities that raise ergonomic problems at workplaces (Koszembar-Wiklik et all., 2015;Bartnicka et all., 2017;Bartnicka at all., 2018;Mleczko, 2016;Winnicka-Jasłowska, et al 2017;Kuboszek at all., 2018;Żabińska and Kuboszek, 2018;Kabiesz and Bartnicka, 2018;Bartnicka at all., 2018;Matuszak and Żabińska, 2018) do not bring the expected effects. The main problem is still the low awareness of employees about the principles of ergonomic work.…”

“…However, the main purpose of using IT systems in the exploitation activities of network companies should be to support the exploitation decision-making process. This requires a look at the needs of maintenance organization and the possibilities of existing IT systems, not only through the prism of the procedural implementation of typical routine work orders, but above all in the context of analytical and decision-making needs in the short and long time horizon, including intelligent solutions (Kabiesz & Bartnicka, 2018). Therefore, as part of the developed and implemented innovative and technologically advanced solutions in the area of Smart City, it should be taken into account the aspects directly related to the maintenance management of technical systems.…”
