Abstract:Abstract:Er:YGG is a promising candidate for greenhouse-gas LIDAR due to fortuitous transitions around key absorption lines of carbon-dioxide and methane. We present growth of crystal films by pulsed-laser-deposition, their spectroscopy and initial characterization as amplifiers.
