Equine parasite control under prescription-only conditions in Denmark – Awareness, knowledge, perception, and strategies applied

“…Despite the vast differences between the 2 studies, Danish and Kentucky respondents did have one thing in common which was the tendency to apply the same parasite control regimen across different age categories. This is contrasted by current guidelines that clearly emphasise the importance of addressing parasite control very differently in foals compared with adult horses [10]. Taken together these findings illustrate the need for better and more effective communication of current guidelines and recommendations for equine parasite control.…”
