Equine metabolic syndrome: part 2

Abstract: Obesity, insulin dysregulation and predisposition to endocrinopathic laminitis represent the major cornerstones of equine metabolic syndrome. This article summarises new information pertaining to the predispositions and pathophysiology of equine metabolic syndrome and presents some newly emergent and effective treatments for this important and common condition.
