“…In our laboratory, by putting use of H-abstraction/spin trapping reactions of ''Magic Blue'' reagents with p-substituted benzaldehydes [3] and 1-methy-2-substituted-5-pyrrolylaldehydes [10], perfluoroalkyl p-substituted benzoyl nitroxides [3], perfluoroalkyl 1-methy-2-substituted-pyrroly-5-carbonyl nitroxides [10] as well as v-hydroperfluoroalkyl 1-methy-2-substituted-pyrroly-5-carbonyl nitroxides [11] were generated and the dual-parameter correlation analysis of their hfsc values with both polar and spin-delocalization substituent constants have been studied. The results show that in the three sets of fluorinated acyl nitroxides, the polar effects are the major factors varying the spin density on the nitroxyl-nitrogen atom while the factor through spin-delocalization is felt slightly.…”
