Epithelioid angiosarcoma metastases to the bone marrow manifesting as erythroblastic anemia and leukocytosis: a and review of the literature

Abstract: Bone marrow is an exceptionally uncommon site of metastatic dissemination in angiosarcoma (AS) as only single case reports have been published so far. We report a case of a 72-year-old male with epithelioid angiosarcoma of the liver who subsequently developed erythroblastic anemia. The trephine bone marrow biopsy revealed total replacement of the normal hematopoiesis by diffuse infiltrate of AS.
