Epimorphisms, dominions and amalgamation in pomonoids

Abstract

Flatness and amalgamation properties of monoids are known to undergo severe restrictions after the introduction of order. In the current article we show that epimorphisms, closure and (hence) special amalgamation properties of monoids are not affected in this way. We also revisit a recently proved zigzag theorem for partially ordered monoids.
