Epidemiology of Pelvic Ring Fractures in a Level 1 Trauma Center in the Netherlands

Abstract: PurposeThis study was conducted to study the epidemiology, classification, treatment and outcome of a large patient group with pelvic ring injury in a level 1 trauma center in the Netherlands.Materials and MethodsIn the period of 2004 to 2014, we encountered 537 patients with a pelvic fracture. Many of them are due to a high energy trauma and therefore many concomitant injuries are observed.
