Epidemiology of infective endocarditis in Africa: a systematic review and meta-analysis

Abstract: BackgroundThe epidemiology of infective endocarditis in Africa is inadequately characterised. We therefore aimed to comprehensively summarise the available data for the incidence, risk factors, clinical pattern, microbiology, and outcomes of infective endocarditis in Africa.
