Epidemiological Features of Patients with Acute Respiratory Distress Syndrome and Factors Determining Mortality in These Patients in a Medical Intensive Care Unit in Turkey

Abstract: Aim: Acute respiratory distress syndrome (ARDS) is an acute hypoxemic respiratory failure refractory to oxygen therapy. The incidence of ARDS is not high, but its management is very difficult for the intensivist and the mortality rate is high.
