Epidemiological characteristics of COVID-19 infection in the Republic of Srpska: A hundred days survey

Abstract: Background/Aim: The World Health Organization (WHO) declared the spread of a novel disease COVID-19 as a pandemic on 11 March 2020. As of 12 June, there have been more than 7.4 million COVID-19 cases and more than 418,000 COVID-19 deaths globally. “…Coronaviruses are members of the Coronaviridae family and can cause respiratory tract infections in humans which are usually mild, although some beta coronaviruses, including the Middle East respiratory syndrome coronavirus (MERS-CoV), severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus (SARS-CoV) and novel coronavirus SARS-CoV-2 may induce severe symptoms [ 1 , 2 ].
