Abstract: Introduction:A First Manic Episode (FME) can evolve differently and some patients remain chronically ill (Poor Outcome Manic Syndrome = POMS). Even, the majority of subsequent episodes reoccur over the time; few studies have looked at the long-term course of a FME.
