Environmental impact of active and abandoned mines and metal smelters in Slovenia

Abstract: Obmo~je Slovenije je od davnin znano po {tevilnih rudnikih in predelavi kovin. Od rimskih ~asov pa do danes poznamo v Sloveniji 49 rudnikov in rudokopov barvastih kovin, od katerih so bili {tirje ve~ji (Idrija, Me'ica-Topla, Litija in @irovski vrh) ter 25 predelovalnih obratov in topilnic, ki so delovale predvsem v okolici ve~jih rudnikov (Idrija, @erjav in Celje).
