An adhesive bonding can be ranged among technologies of materials bonding which are used in all industrial branches. It plays its important role also in an area of the construction of agricultural machines, e.g. tractors, harvestors etc. Utility properties of adhesives can be extended by using various types of fi llers. These fi llers increase some mechanical characteristics of adhesives and not last they can decrease resultant price. The paper focuses on a possibility to fi ll the adhesives showing increased lap-shear tensile strength. These adhesives are used e.g. for adhesive bonding of coach bodies in an automotive industry so that is why it is possible to apply them also in the agricultural area. Laboratory experiments describe the lap-shear tensile strength of rigid adherents which were bonded with adhesives with a variable concentration of micro-particle fi ller -a glass powder. T-test used for a comparison of the shear strength of the bonds created with the adhesives with 5 vol.% of the glass powder did not evidence a statistically signifi cant diff erence comparing with the unfi lled adhesives. This priece of knowledge opens a possible way of a material usage of the glass powder in the area of the adhesive bonding.

To evaluate and optimize the cutting process from the effective, qualitative and economic point of view, the detailed knowledge about size, direction and orientation of cutting forces is necessary. Cutting forces are an important indicator of machining performance. It helps to understand every single action which occurs during the machining process. In this study, the influence of selected cutting parameters (cutting speed and feed rate) on the behavior of cutting force components were experimentally investigated. AlMgSi1 aluminum alloy (EN AW 6082) was milled in dry and wet machining conditions utilizing uncoated sintered carbide end mills with a different helix angle. Cutting force components were measured and statistically analyzed with using of ANOVA.

An adhesive bonding technology is a method of a connecting which is used at a construction of coach-works, agricultural machines etc. This method is suitable for workings with a serial production. Many research projects dealt with a preparation of adhesive bonds, degradation aspects etc. An area, which has not been properly investigated at present, is an influence of a loading speed on strength of the adhesive bond and a destruction time of the adhesive bond. Adhesive bonds are loaded by a different intensity and a speed at a practice. The research focused on an evaluation of the influence of the loading speed at a temperature 22 ± 2 °C on the shear tensile strength, the time needed for the destruction and a failure area. Second part of the research was focused on the influence of a bending moment. This bending moment can be minimalized by using so-called underlaying sheet of metal. The underlaying sheet of metal was of a thickness corresponding to a thickness of the adhesive bonded material. Also a behaviour of the adhesive bonded material was observed within the research.
