The present work deals with the impact of hybrid nanoparticles (Au-Al2O3) on the blood flow pattern through a porous cylindrical artery with a bell-shaped stenosis in the presence of an external magnetic field, Joule heating, and viscous dissipation by considering two-dimensional pulsatile blood flow. The temperature-dependent viscosity model is utilized in this study. The blood flow is assumed to be unsteady, laminar, viscous, and incompressible. The mild stenotic presumption normalizes and reduces the bi-directional flow to uni-directional. The Crank-Nicolson scheme is applied to solve the continuity, momentum, and energy equations with appropriate initial and boundary conditions. Transport characteristics are visualized graphically for key dimensionless parameters such as Magnetic number ([Formula: see text]), Darcy number ( Da), Grashof number ( Gr), viscosity parameter ( β0), Reynolds number ( Re), Eckert Number ( Ec), Prandtl number ( Pr), different concentration of both the nanoparticles ( ϕ1, ϕ2), and pressure gradient parameter ( B1). The velocity contours for different emerging parameters have also been drawn to assess the overall behaviour of blood flow patterns. The non-dimensional velocity profile is enhanced with increment in values of Da, implying that the medium permeability provides less resistance to the flow. Increasing viscous dissipation ( Ec) and Joule heating ([Formula: see text]) parameter simultaneously raise the nanofluid temperature. Hybrid nanoparticles (Au-Al2O3/blood) effectively reduce hemodynamic variables such as wall shear stress and resistance (impedance). The present work finds applications in nano-mediated treatment of atherosclerosis and other diseases.

Hybrid nanofluid is considered a modern and improvised form of nanofluid which usually used to enhance the performance of heat transfer in fluid flow systems. Previous studies found hybrid nanofluid offered a wide range of applications and this opened up numerous new opportunities to further explore the unknown behaviour of hybrid nanofluid under different body geometries and physical parameters. This paper numerically studied a two-dimensional mixed convection and radiative Al2O3-Cu/H2O hybrid nanofluid flow over a vertical exponentially shrinking sheet with partial slip conditions. The main objective is to investigate the effect of mixed convection and radiation on the velocity and temperature profiles, as well as the effect of suction on reduced skin friction and reduced heat transfer with respect to solid volume fraction of copper, velocity, and thermal slips. Exponential similarity variables transformed the governing system of partial differential equations into a system of ordinary differential equations which is solved via MATLAB’s bvp4c solver. Outcomes showed that the value of the reduced heat transfer upsurges in the first solution but declines in the second solution when the velocity slip rises. The reduced heat transfer decreases in both dual solutions when thermal slip is enhanced. As the intensity of thermal slip increases, the reduced skin friction rises in the first solution and decreases in the second. As the mixed convection parameter increases, no obvious variation is noticed in the temperature distribution within the first solution, but increasing trend is observed within the second solution. An increment in the temperature distribution also observed within the dual solutions as the thermal radiation parameter increases. In summary, findings from this study are particularly useful to understand various behaviour of Al2O3-Cu/H2O hybrid nanofluid under the influence of mixed convection, radiation, and partial slip conditions when it flows over a vertical exponential shrinking sheet.

The purpose of this study is to evaluate the augmentation of thermal energy transfer in trihybrid Ellis nanofluid flow in the occurrence of magnetic dipole passes over a vertical surface. The ternary hybrid nanofluid is prepared by the dispersion of ternary nanoparticles (Al2O3, SiO2, and TiO2) in the Carreau Yasuda fluid. The velocity and heat transportation has been examined in the existence of the Darcy Forchhemier influence and heat source/sink. The phenomena of fluid flow have been mathematically designed for energy and fluid velocity in the form of a nonlinear partial differential equation (PDE)-based system. The system of PDEs is further refined to the set of ordinary differential equations via suitable similarity substitutions. The acquired dimensionless equations are numerically solved with the help of the HAM. It has been noticed that the energy contour is enhanced versus the variation of viscous dissipation and heat generation. A significant contribution of a magnetic dipole is observed to elevate the production of the thermal energy field, and an opposite trend is noticed versus the flow profile. The accumulation of Al2O3, SiO2, and TiO2 nanomaterials in the base fluid “engine oil” improves the velocity and energy profiles.
