Nowadays, one of the essential issues of any business is represented by CSR. Corporate Social Responsibility is also known, from a European view, as the “Responsible Business Conduct” of everyone, and so this paper highlights the importance of being responsible from early beginnings. Being actual “revolutionary forces”, entrepreneurs contribute to national wealth and growth, job creation, productivity stimulation, adaptation and innovation to meet ongoing changes in market demands. We analyze the conduct of young entrepreneurs and discuss their knowledge in the matter of CSR. We ask young entrepreneurs: What type of CSR actions their firms undertake? How their age and size of the firm influence CSR actions? Their answers are to be analyzed and discussed in a broader context as one of the European Union. Measuring CSR awareness among young entrepreneurs shows a significant increase at a macro level but still a low rate when looking at other UE countries. Our findings prove that entrepreneurs are aware of the concept and dimensions of CSR, but still, profit is more important. We conclude and highlight the importance of productive entrepreneurial activities supported by integrating CSR actions into the company’s strategy and development directions to ensure the balance between the company’s objectives and its interests.

Purpose Using quasi-experimental designs, the purpose of this paper is to study the effects of training entrepreneurs and such entrepreneurs going ahead to retrain its workers on the business high-growth performance. Design/methodology/approach This paper used a unique evaluation data from the National Business Plan Competition in Nigeria, organized by the Nigerian government in collaboration with the World Bank. The data was analyzed using the Propensity Score Matching technique and complemented with the Difference-in-Difference estimates. Findings The authors find from the estimation of this paper that those entrepreneurs who received standard evaluation training and goes ahead to retrain its workers experienced an expansion in the number of employees by two persons, an increase in innovation index by about 3 units. An increase in revenue is also observed, but this increase was not significant at the 1, 5 or 10 per cent levels. Originality/value This paper presents an interesting view point on how training within an entrepreneurial venture should be viewed as a ‘two sided coin’. This is such that training the entrepreneur is one side of the story, and the entrepreneur retraining its workers is another important side of the story.

Abstract. This paper introduces the reform of talent cultivation mode in Bohai University, which including divide students into research orientation and practice orientation, implement complete credit system, separate teaching and examination, implement excellent talent training program, implement ISEC program, implement centralized internship and social practice, promote order training through university-enterprise cooperation, establish public experimental platform, carry out innovation and entrepreneurship education, and encourage students to declare innovative and entrepreneurship training projects. Introduce the employment service guidance system of Bohai University, such as implement full employment guidance services, implement full employment information service, and provide adequate funding and personnel protection, help poor family students, support students to start their own businesses, analysis and evaluation graduates' employment. Finally, analyzes the employment situation of Bohai University graduates and the evaluation from employer. Bohai University graduates are mostly employed in private enterprises, the salary satisfaction of graduates basically showed a normal distribution, most graduates are feeling all right, and employer's comprehensive evaluation of graduates has improved.
