Abstract:Entrapment neuropathies are mononeuropathies caused by long term or recurrent compression of peripheral nerves as they pass through anatomically narrow areas. The diagnosis of entrapment neuropathies are based on a combination of anamnesis, physical examination and EMG findings. In this article, pathophysiology of entrapment neuropathies and some of the most common entrapment neuropathies seen in upper extremity will be discussed.
