In this document, these are referred to as polymeric nanoparticles (Mainardes et al, 2010;Sharma & Garg, 2010, Schäfer et al, 1992, Shah & Amiji, 2006, Destache et al, 2009, Mahajan et al, 2009) and solid lipid nanoparticles (Aji Alex et al, 2010;Kuo & Chen, 2009;Shegokara et al, 2010).
