“…Here, we review the literature on the subject of firefighter safety with a focus on the research and data related to US wildland firefighter entrapments. We follow the entrapment definition described by Page and Freeborn (2019) and focus the discussion and analysis on entrapments where there was a burnover that may or may not have involved a fatality.
