The dynamics of the quantum entropies of a system of two cavities coupled by an optical fiber cable, each cavity contains a two-level atom interacting with a single electromagnetic field in addition to an external classical field, is investigated. Under canonical transformations, the considered Hamiltonian is diagonalized. Effective Hamiltonians in three different limiting regimes: namely large optical fiber cable coupling bstrength, large detunig, and comparable detuning and optical fiber cable coupling strength, are derived. The ith ¯ -tom are respectively prepared in the superposition coherent and the ground states while the fields are prepared in the vacuum states. An analytical expression for the solution of the Schr¨odinger equation for each dispersive is derived. The degree of entanglement (DEM) is studied by using von Neumann atomic entropies. The influences of both the optical fiber cable coupling strength and the detuning on the evolution of the DEM ”their values are closely chosen to be compatible with the imposed restrictions for the applications of the different regimes” are analyzed. General conclusions reached are illustrated by numerical results.

The Hamiltonian of a system composed of two standard Jaynes‐Cummings cells connected by the overlap of evanescent cavity fields, which allows photons to hop from the first cavity to the second and vice versa, and interacting with an external classical field, is simplified in the framework of unitary canonical transformations. James's method of the effective Hamiltonian is used in the derivation of two effective Hamiltonians with two completely dispersive regimes. Analytical expressions for the time dependent wavefunction and the elements of the reduced atomic operators for the different Hamiltonians are derived. The temporal evolution of atomic quantum entropy is calculated when the fields are initially in their vacuum states with various forms of the atomic initial states. Effects of the photon hopping strength, detuning and the various forms of the atomic initial states on the evolution of the von Neumann entropies are analyzed. The impact of the time‐average technique on the features resulting due to involving the controlling parameters and their influences on the considered functions is discussed. Damping is taken into account through a non‐Hermitian Hamiltonian and results are discussed. General conclusions reached are illustrated by numerical results.

The interaction of two identical three-level atoms of the types V , Ξ and Λ with a quantized cavity field as well as a driving external classical field is studied. Under two certain unitary transformations, the system is converted to a typical form of the Jaynes-Cummings model for two three-level atoms. The exact analytical solutions of the wave function for different considered atom-field systems are exactly obtained with the help of the Laplace transform technique, when the atoms are initially prepared in the topmost excited state and the quantized field is in a coherent state. In order to examine the nonclassicality features of the deduced states, the dynamics of the entanglement between subsystems is discussed via two well-known measures, namely, von Neumann entropy of the reduced state and negativity. In addition, we pay attention to the temporal behaviour of quantum statistics of the photons of the field and squeezing phenomenon. Meanwhile, the influence of the external classical field on the latter physical quantities is analyzed in detail. The results show that the mentioned quantities can be sensitively controlled via the external classical field. Also, numerical computations imply the fact that the nonclassicality features in Ξ-type threelevel atomic system is more visible than the other two configurations. In addition, it is shown that in the particular case of Λ-type atomic system, the rank of the reduced density matrix of the three-level atoms is no larger than three, so that negativity fully captures the entanglement of this system and that such entanglement is distillable.
