Abstract

Amebiasis is a protozoal disease of the intestines, caused by Entamoeba histolytica. The prevalence of E. histolytica is high in our country and in the world. E. histolytica is more common in undeveloped and developing countries. The diagnosis and treatment of this parasite is very important in preventing the spread of the disease. Similarities with Entamoeba dispar and E. histolytica cause constant misunderstanding in laboratory diagnoses. Bu nedenle parazitin laboratuvar tanısın hızlı ve güvenilir olması insan ve hayvan sağlığı için oldukça önemlidir.
