The structures of 2 and 3, each possessing a 15-membered carbocyclic flexibilane ring skeleton, were deduced from detailed evaluation of 1D and 2D NMR spectroscopic data.…”

“…-Compound 1 was assigned the molecular formula C 20 H 28 O 3 through an analysis of its HR-ESI-MS (m/z 339.1930, [M þ Na] þ ), requiring seven degrees of unsaturation. Its IR spectrum showed absorptions at 3406, 1707, and 1635 cm À1 optical rotation, and chemotaxonomic considerations suggested that compound 1 belongs to the ent-atisane diterpenoid family [5] 1 ).…”
