Enorma shizhengliae sp. nov. and Eggerthella guodeyinii sp. nov., two new members of the family Coriobacteriaceae

Abstract: Four obligatory anaerobic, Gram-stain-positive, non-motile and rod-shaped organisms (HF-1365T, HF-1362, HF-1101T and HF-4214) were isolated from faecal samples of healthy Chinese subjects. Results of 16S rRNA gene sequence analyses showed that these isolates belong to the genera Enorma (strains HF-1365T and HF-1362) and Eggerthella (stra… Show more

“…In contrast to the absence of any known quinones in zg-1050 T , strain zg-886 T contained MK-6 (42.5%), DMMK-6 (32.5%) and MMK-6 (25%), which is distinct from other type species in in its menaquinone types and the corresponding relative percentages [7, 8, 34, 36, 42, 43], except those six with no available data ( Berryella intestinalis 68-1-3 T , Denitrobacterium detoxificans NPOH1 T , Hugonella massiliensis AT8 T , Phoenicibacter congonensis Marseille-P3241 T , Raoultibacter massiliensis Marseille-P2849 T and Slackia exigua ATCC 700122 T ).…”

“…Although C 16 : 0 and C 18 : 1 ω 9 c were the two most abundant CFAs in all novel strains, C 12 : 0 reached a dominant level in zg-1050 T /zg-1084, whereas three different CFAs (C 14 : 0 , iso - C 14 : 0 and C 18 : 0 ) were present at high levels (>10 %) in zg-886 T /zg-887 ( and S4). Moreover, the predominant level of C 18 : 0 in zg-886 T /zg-887 and Berryella intestinalis 68-1-3 T () [6] was in sharp contrast to the modest amount in others (zg-1050 T /zg-1084, Table S4 and Raoultibacter massiliensis Marseille-P2849 T ) [6–9, 20, 33, 34, 36, 42–44].…”
