This paper is aimed at reviewing present state of the art (1998( -March 2019 on the impact of Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) implementation in Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs). It includes critical success factors and critical failure factors. The technique depends on writing survey for optional information gathering. It characterizes the expressions that are utilized to get explore papers from databases and advanced studies on the ERP implementation in SMEs. It additionally incorporates the consideration and prohibition criteria to improve nature of papers. At that point methodical audit is made on the accessible papers to research the effect of ERP usage in SMEs. Critical factors are identified for success and failure of ERP implementations and actual impact of the same on SMEs (add actual success and failure factors here besides impact). The research found in this paper has limitations in terms of the period of which research papers have been reviewed. An implicit limitation is that it does not consider an empirical study except focusing on the state of the art found in the research area. However, its insights will have potential benefits and the directions for future work. This paper contributes to the research on the impact of ERP implementation on SMEs either positively or negatively. It discovers critical success factors, critical failure factors and impact through secondary data collection method. The insights will help SMEs and stakeholders of SMEs and ERP service providers learn about the reasons for failure or success and take necessary course of action.

In today's global and complex business environment, security is a major issue for any organization. All organizations should have the capability to plan and respond to incidents and business disruptions. Business continuity management is part of information security management and the process of Business continuity management (BCM) can meet these needs. Indeed, Business Continuity refers to the ability of a business to continue its operations even if some sort of failure or disaster occurs. Business continuity management (BCM) requires a holistic approach that considers technological and organizational aspects. Besides, Enterprise architecture (EA) is a comprehensive view of organizational architecture, business, and technology architecture and their relationships. EA is also considered by several studies as a foundation for BC and security management. Our research aims at studying how BCM aspect can be embedded into the enterprise architecture. In this sense, this paper proposes a metamodel and an implementation method that considers BC in the design and implementation of EA.

Influence of interorganizational relationships on SMEs' e‐business adoption

Purpose-The objective of this paper is to examine the influence of interorganizational relationships on the adoption of e-business in the supply chain of Malaysian small and medium enterprises (SMEs). Design/methodology/approach-A questionnaire was distributed to 200 Malaysian SMEs with a response rate of 68 percent. Data were analyzed by employing multiple regression analysis. Findings-Interorganizational relationships such as communication, collaboration and information sharing were found to be significant in affecting Malaysian SMEs' decision to adopt e-business in their supply chain. Contrary to existing literatures, this research found that trust and trading partners' power have no significant influence on the adoption of e-business in the supply chain of Malaysian SMEs. Practical implications-Organizations that would like to adopt e-business in their supply chain with their trading partners will be able to apply strategies based on the findings from this research. Based on these finding, organizations that would like to implement e-business with their trading partners in Malaysia should focus on improving interorganizational relationships such as communication, collaboration and information sharing. Originality/value-The findings created an understanding of what attributes of interorganizational relationships influence the adoption of e-business in the supply chain. In terms of theoretical contributions, this study has extended previous researches conducted in Western countries and provides great potential by advancing the understanding between the association of adoption factors and e-business adoption in Malaysian SMEs. SMEs planning to adopt e-business in their supply chain would be able to applied strategies based on the findings from this research.
