Abstract: Conferator is a novel social conference system that provides the management of social interactions and context information in ubiquitous and social environments. Using RFID and social networking technology, Conferator provides the means for effective management of personal contacts and according conference information before, during and after a conference. “…For the analysis, we apply real-world data collected at the LWA 2010 conference in Kassel, Germany, and the Hypertext 2011 conference in Eindhoven, The Netherlands, using the Conferator [3] system. The results of the analysis indicate that stronger ties have a strong influence on the contact behavior and the prediction performance.…”

“…We evaluate our approach with the development of the first version of the social conference system Conferator [2], which enables the participants to create their personal schedule by picking talks, they are interested in, adding friends, sharing their social contact information and recalling the persons they met, by viewing their own contact history during the event, which gets automatically created by the same RFID technology that was used for our approach to capture conversations. The team consists of 10 developers, whose social and development activities were observed for about 3 months.…”
