The development of entrepreneurial intention and raising the attitudes of today's youths to launch their own firms in Nigeria has continued to center on entrepreneurship and skill acquisition. Based on these, the study looked into various skills needed by today's youths for Sustainable Development. The study was further guided by two research questions and one hypothesis tested at the 0.05 level of significance. A descriptive survey research approach was implemented. The participants in this study were students and lecturers at Nwafor Orizu College of Education, Nsugbe, Anambra State, Nigeria. The population size was made up of 70 students and 30 lecturers. Data were collected using a questionnaire produced by the researcher. The responses were analysed using arithmetic mean and standard deviation scores, and the null hypothesis was tested using a t-test. The result revealed that self-motivation is among the influencing factors of entrepreneurial intentions by today's youths. Additionally, creativity was considered essential since most entrepreneurs are beginning from zero position with limited resources. The results further revealed that students and lecturers do not differ significantly in their mean perception scores regarding sustainable entrepreneurial soft skills required by today's youths. It was recommended among others that the federal government should create an atmosphere that is conducive to learning and supply all the tools and resources required for Nigeria's economy to grow sustainably.

“…En Georgia el concepto de emprendimiento es analizada desde un panorama social, identificando causas que lo afectan, para así estimular el crecimiento de la economía e impulsarlo desde las políticas, su busca alcanzar el progreso social con impacto positivo, (Gigauri et al, 2022). La contribución teórica y empírica en la educación empresarial mejorará la intención emprendedora a nivel global, según (Ohashi et al, 2022). Desde ahí, en el análisis de publicaciones sobre emprendimiento social entre los años 2015 y 2020 se evidencian temas iniciales que serán de utilidad para futuros estudios, la innovación social y educativa toman relevancia, se debe seguir revisando conceptos y analizar las líneas temáticas empleadas en razón de que existen áreas aún no exploradas de forma integral, el campo educativo, fomenta la aplicación de estrategias que desarrollarán los docentes respecto a las habilidades empresariales, buscan soluciones innovadoras para los problemas o situaciones que emergen en los entornos; en ese aspecto, las corporaciones educativas deben impulsar las capacidades empresariales, (Montes-Martínez & Ramírez-Montoya, 2021) Escuelas que abordan el Emprendimiento Social Al abordar el emprendimiento nos encontramos que este tema carece de un concepto claro, lo que lo hace complejo al relacionarse con diversas disciplinas, lo cual no permite formular una investigación holística; según, (Pareja et al, 2015); en el espacio donde emergen las teorías sobre emprendimiento aún no hay entendimiento que permita delimitarlo, por lo que es necesario la organización de conceptos.…”

Se analizó desde la literatura el concepto de emprendimiento social, bajo un nivel descriptivo con diseño documental; en el ámbito académico se consideran las escuelas: de la empresa social, del emprendedor social e innovación social. Debemos considerar que un emprendedor tiene la capacidad de identificar las oportunidades y hacer frente a los riesgos que se presenten en el mercado; toma muy en cuenta su experiencia y capacidad innovadora, el cual le permite consolidar sus proyectos y contribuir al crecimiento económico a través de sus competencias y habilidades; es una necesidad de orden mundial encaminar proyectos emprendedores bajo una cultura de innovación. Se concluye que la definición de emprendimiento social es amplio y poco estudiada, se evidencia la falta de un consenso para la delimitación conceptual y a través de ella se busca minimizar los problemas sociales.

Entrepreneurial Identity Development Among Faculty Members in a STEM Higher Education Institution

This study explores the debates about what entrepreneurial learning entails in a higher education setting. A qualitative research method guided by the critical social theory was utilized. Participants were recruited from the academic staff in higher education institution. A phenomenological approach was utilized to collect data based on one-to-one semi-structured interviews with the participants. Through stimulated discussions, the participants reflected on their cultural experiences, identity development process, and the effectiveness of entrepreneurial learning methods. Interpretive phenomenological analysis was chosen as the methodology for qualitative study of the interview data. The parenting style, role models, incentives and the external environment during the early years of identity development strongly influenced the propensity to grow an entrepreneurial mindset. Faculty members, who are predisposed to undertake entrepreneurial activities, showed self-efficacy to nurture their business skills by taking advantage of the resources available to exploit their inventions. Academics preferred informal entrepreneurial learning approaches over formal trainings and showed the desire to absorb tacit knowledge through peer-to-peer interactions, experienced role models and industrial partners. This study contributes to the identification of implications for practice, educational policy development and the evidence-based development of inclusive learning and teaching strategies for entrepreneurial programs.
