Enhancing electric vehicle efficiency through model predictive control of power electronics

Abstract: This study examines the improvement of electric vehicle (EV) economy by using Model Predictive Control (MPC) in power electronics, with the goal of optimizing system performance. Experimental assessments done on different battery parameters have identified a spectrum of capacities, ranging from 55 kWh to 75 kWh, and voltages, ranging from 380V to 450V, that impact the total energy storage and power production capabilities.
