Enhancing cationic surfactants’ inactivation of non-enveloped viruses by sulfate ions

Abstract: Quaternary cationic surfactants with bactericidal activity such as didecyldimethylammonium chloride (DDAC) show an inactivation effect on enveloped viruses, but they have little effect on non-enveloped viruses such as noroviruses.
