Abstract:α-Galactosidase is an important exoglycosidase belonging to the hydrolase class of enzyme, which has therapeutic and industrial potential. It plays a crucial role in hydrolyzing α-1,6 linked terminal galacto-oligosaccharide residues such as melibiose, ra nose, and branched polysaccharides such as Galacto-glucomannans and Galactomannans. In this study Actinoplanes utahensis was explored for α-Galactosidase production, yield improvement and activity enhancement by puri cation. Initially nine media components wer… Show more
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
