In this study, Z-scheme NiO/BiO 2Àx heterojunction was successfully constructed by hydrothermal method, which can maintain strong redox potential and excellent visible light response and effectively improve the separation efficiency of photogenerated carrier. Under visible irradiation, the impact of different contents of NiO in NiO/BiO 2Àx on photocatalytic activity was explored, and the results shown that 3-NiO/BiO 2Àx had the highest photocatalytic activity. The degradation rate of 3-NiO/BiO 2Àx for methyl orange (MO) was 7.69 times and 19.7 times higher than pure BiO 2Àx and NiO, respectively. Moreover, the degradation rate of 3-NiO/BiO 2Àx for ciprofloxacin (CIP) was 7.54 times and 60.8 times higher than that of the pure BiO 2Àx and NiO, respectively. NiO/BiO 2Àx heterojunction can be used in the field of wastewater treatment due to their excellent degradation activity for organic pollutants.

We have studied the effects of a new compound defined as a surface antimicrobial product, commercially named BV-STOP, whose antimicrobial activity has been evaluated in vitro according to specific guidelines from the UNI-EN. The BV-STOP has been assembled as a mixture of substances which confer potent anti-microbial activity with potential 99.9% bacterial growth inhibition. Such antimicrobial activity affects several pathogenic and saprophytic species in particular Pseudomonas , Staphylococcus, Enterococcus and Escherichia coli. Moreover thanks to the formulation conditions of the product, once distributed over flat surfaces in any type of temperature conditions, the BV-STOP can retains its antimicrobial activity even though the target surfaces are treated with conventional detergent product for routine cleaning programs. Finally, due to its particular formulation characteristics, the BV-STOP is sensitive to UV irradiation. Therefore, its adherence to surfaces can be monitored over time in order to guarantee a proper antiseptic activity. Thus, the BV-STOP may represent an ideal device for correct and perfect monitoring of antimicrobial conditions.

Ceramic aerogels are gaining increasing attention due to their low density, high‐temperature resistance, and excellent chemical stability. However, conventional ceramic aerogels are hindered by their intrinsic brittleness and limited dielectric properties, which restrict their scalable manufacturing and multifunctional applications. Here, ultralight, biomimetic porous, electrically and magnetically conductive ceramic nanofibrous aerogels composed of silicon dioxide (SiO2) nanofibers, graphene, and metal–organic framework (MOF) derivatives are prepared through an ice‐templating freeze‐casting followed by annealing approach. The renewable SiO2 nanofibers form robust bonding points with graphene, constructing interconnected high‐porosity aerogels with good mechanical resilience. This allows for efficient integration of MOF‐derived magnetic nanoparticles associated with a synergistic mechanical enhancement. The synergies of the dielectric and magnetic components, combined with the uniformly arranged sheet‐like cell walls which facilitate the outstanding electromagnetic wave absorption performance. Moreover, the hydrophobic ceramic aerogels showcase excellent magnetothermal conversion, contributing to the application in wireless therapy, antibacterial, and magnetothermal deicing. Furthermore, the nanofibrous aerogels exhibit good thermal stability and insulation properties, rendering them highly suitable for thermal management devices in extreme conditions. With the renewable, convenient, and scalable manufacturing method, these multifunctional ceramic nanofibrous aerogels thus hold great promise in electromagnetic protection, wireless heating, and next‐generation thermal management devices.
