Enhancement of Optical Oxygen Sensing Properties of [Ru(bpy)3]2+- Based Composites Along With Maghemite and Ionic Liquid

Abstract: In this study, we measured oxygen-induced emission and decaytime data of tris(2,2′-bipyridyl)ruthenium(II) chloride dye in the presence of additives, maghemite and ionic liquid, 1-butyl-3methylimidazolium tetrafluoroborate. The fluorescent dye along with the additives was embedded in ethylcellulose matrix that was used as supporting material in form of thin-film and electrospun mat.
