“…AMG has been demonstrated to reversibly inhibit inducible nitric oxide synthase and might therefore modulate gene transcription in different cell types via nitric oxide (NO)‐dependent pathways 17,18 . Recently, we demonstrated that AMG inhibits apoptotic cell death in stored micrografts and beneficially influences graft survival in hair restoration procedures 5 …”

“…The composition of storage media for isolated micrografts greatly influences the viability of micrografts in hair restoration procedures 1–4 . Recently, we demonstrated the benefical effect of nutrient media and inhibitors of apoptosis on the viability of the stored micrografts, 5 and it has been shown by different groups that nutrient media are more favorable in clinical use compared with saline solutions. Although the presented data on modulation of gene expression in micrografts during storage are experimental and the clinical significance needs further evaluation, they strongly indicate the possibility of actively modulating growth factor production during the storage period of micrografts.…”

“…Recently, a variety of new storage solutions and materials, such as Plasma-Lyte (Baxter Healthcare), HypoThermasol-ATP (BioLife Solultions), ACell, and plasma-rich protein (PRP), have been promoted for improving graft survival, but no study has established the best storage solution. 37,38,39,40 …”
