The result of military personnel practical training lies in skilful and confident actions using available weapons and military equipment in all types of the combined arms operation. There is a need to use training and simulation equipment in order to increase the force proficiency, to save resources in weapons and military equipment use. Analysis of the ground forces personnel military training system in the militarily developed leading countries of the world indicates the tendency of further reduction of the weapons and military equipment use for the personnel professional training, the introduction of new forms and methods into training with the use of simulators, training and simulation equipment and training and simulation complexes. The armies of NATO countries have a tendency to use full-scale simulators designed to provide cadets with specific skills that allow the personnel training as part of crews (teams), platoons, company and other units, as well as to carry out the full range of their functional responsibilities. The authors of the article have developed a method for assessing the effectiveness of the military personnel competitive activity when solving tactical tasks using laser tag type two-way skirmish simulators, which allows to determine the level of separate components training (the skills level of separate tactical techniques accomplishment, tactical, physical, psychological readiness) and to carry out the personnel training level assessment as a whole. The assessment included the most important training level criteria which characterize a degree of a serviceman tactical training and have an influence upon the real end result when solving the tactical tasks by the unit as a whole.

The article deals with the methods of teaching English for specific purposes to border guard officers. Ability to communicate English is one of the core competences of border guards in order to provide the State border protection. The aim of the article is to characterise peculiarities and aim of the English language training of “Military Administration” masters. Particular attention is paid to the structure of educational program of the second (master’s) level of higher education on specialty “Military Administration (by branches of Armed Forces)” and development of working curriculum “English for specific purposes”. Our hypothesis is that it is efficacious to use modern methods of learning during the lessons of the English language that was verified by the experiment which was conducted from July 2017 to July 2018 in the form of a survey of the first year officers (47 people) in the Faculty of Executive Staff Training who were studying according to the new educational program on the basis of the Bohdan Khmelnytskyi National Academy of the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine. Analysis of the results of graduation examinations of border guard officers has shown that due to the use of the modern communicative methods of teaching in the educational process of the Academy, the quality of officers’ knowledge increased significantly. The result of the experiment confirmed that the officers generally acquired a good level of texts reading and translation skills, knowledge of professional lexical material, military terminology, and ability to make decision according the current legislation in the professional situation. It has proved the effectiveness of the implementation of working curriculum of English for specific purposes especially due to use of modern learning methods, forms of compatible collective activity, friendly atmosphere, attentive attitude toward partners on a communication and mutual help.

Богдана Хмельницького ПЕРСПЕКТИВНІ НАПРЯМИ ПІДГОТОВКИ ПЕРСОНАЛУ ДЕРЖАВНОЇ ПРИКОРДОННОЇ СЛУЖБИ УКРАЇНИ НА ОСНОВІ ЄВРОПЕЙСЬКОГО ДОСВІДУ В статті надано обґрунтування перспективних напрямів розвитку підготовки українських прикордонників на основі досвіду країн Європейського Союзу. Перспективні напрями розвитку системи підготовки українських прикордонників в контексті євроінтеграції: концептуальний, нормативно-правовий, організаційно-педагогічний, навчально-методичний, науково-технологічний та особистісно-професійний було обґрунтовано на державному, відомчому, інституціональному рівнях. Висвітлені напрями ґрунтуються на сформульованих суперечностях процесу підготовки персоналу прикордонних відомств та узгоджені з виявленими загальноєвропейськими тенденціями у сфері підготовки фахівців з охорони кордону. Ключові слова: напрями підготовки, фахівці з охорони кордону, країни Європейського Союзу. Постановка проблеми. На сучасному етапі розвитку Державна прикордонна служба України (ДПСУ) є активним учасником міжнародних відносин. Так, тільки в 2018 році в рамках співробітництва з Європейським Союзом (ЄС), відомство отримало міжнародну допомогу на 190 мільйонів гривень, реалізувало 23 проекти з урядами Норвегії, Німеччини, EUAM (Консультативна місія ЄС), EUBAM (Місія ЄС з прикордонної допомоги Молдові та Україні), Організацією Об'єднаних Націй, IOM (Міжнародна Організація з Міграції), OSCE SMM -(Спеціальна моніторингова Місія ОБСЄ в Україні).Посилено також євроінтеграційний вектор розвитку вітчизняного прикордонного відомства та імплементацію стандартів ЄС: участь у консультаційному проекті TWINNING щодо розвитку ДПСУ: майже 600 прикордонників отримали сертифікати загальноєвропейського зразка з перевірки документів та ідентифікації викрадених авто; участь у 10-ти операціях Агенції FRONTEX (Організація прикордонної і берегової охорони ЄС); оперативне співробітництво з протидії міжнародній злочинності з прикордонними структурами Італії, Франції, Великобританії, Іспанії; спільне патрулювання з прикордонниками Молдови, Румунії, Угорщини, Словаччини, Польщі. Таким чином, з метою забезпечення відповідності сучасним глобалізаційним викликам, підготовка вітчизняних прикордонників повинна організовуватись відповідно до загальноєвропейських стандартів підготовки персоналу прикордонних відомств.Аналіз останніх досліджень і публікацій.
