Enhancement in magnetic and electrical properties of Ni substituted Mg ferrite

Abstract: In this work, Ni substituted magnesium spinel ferrites having general formula Mg 1 − x Ni x Fe 2 O 4 (where x = 0.0, 0.1, 0.15, 0.2, 0.25 and 0.3) were synthesized by standard solid state reaction method. All the samples were characterized by X-ray diffraction (XRD), Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FT-IR), vibrating sample magnetometer (VSM), DC resistivity measurements. X-ray diffraction analysis confirmed the single spinel phase. The lattice constant decreased with increasing Ni content due to the d… Show more

“…This authenticated the pattern of single-phase face-centered cubic spinel structure without the extra peaks of the other crystallographic phase. [42][43][44] The peaks centered at 26 and 50 corresponding to planes (002) and (003) represent the CNTs fingerprints. [40,44] The presence of the peak to 26.20 (which corresponds to MWCNTs material) on the PXRD pattern of the NiFe 2 O 4 -CNTs composite, indicates the successful formation of the respective hybrid material.…”

[40,44] The presence of the peak to 26.20 (which corresponds to MWCNTs material) on the PXRD pattern of the NiFe 2 O 4 -CNTs composite, indicates the successful formation of the respective hybrid material. The sharpness and broad hump of the peaks exhibited the crystalline and amphorous nature of the MWCNTs and its decorating with nickel-ferrite nanoparticles, respectively.…”
